Volcan Pululahua
The Volcan Pululahua is outside Quito, and a 5 minute bus ride from El Mitad del Mundo. It is an active volcano that last erupted about 110 years ago. It has some amazing views that'll take your breath away if the hike doesn't. There is a small community of farmers that live there, as well as a hostel.
